Leicester City and Tottenham tracking Pescara’s 22-goal star striker

Leicester City and Tottenham are reportedly scouting Italian striker Gianluca Lapadula, according to ITA Sportpress (via the Daily Mail).

The Premier League duo, who currently sit first and second in the English top-flight standings, checked on the Pescara forward during his side’s 1-0 victory over Cesena on Friday night.

The 26-year-old; who only joined Pescara last July on a free transfer, has scored an impressive 22 goals in 36 appearances in all competitions for the Serie B outfit so far this season, including 10 assists.

Lapadula, who has never featured in Italy’s top-flight [Serie A], could leave the Stadio Adriatico this summer if the club do not achieve promotion come the end of the season.

Pescara President Daniele Sebastiani told ITA Sportpress, “If we do not get promoted then he is likely to leave”.

However the report also suggests that Italian giants Juventus, Napoli, Chievo and Sampdoria are interested in Lapadula’s services as well.
