Leicester City are reportedly closing in on a £10 million deal to sign Ajax defender Mitchell Dijks in the summer, according to the Sunday Mirror.
Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri is already looking at potential summer signings as the Premier League leaders get closer to qualifying for the Champions League, and has identified the 23-year-old as one of his top targets.
The left-back, who is 6ft 5in tall, has been one of the stars of the Eredivisie season and has been called up for Holland’s national team as a result, and could face England in the two nations’ friendly at Wembley later this month.
Ranieri is keen to provide more competition for places, as well as boosting a squad that could have to deal with a run in Europe’s elite club competition, to cope with what could be a congested fixture list.
The Ajax youth product has made 33 appearances in all competitions this term, picking up seven assists.
