Leicester City have reportedly begun talks about signing Brazil international Walace Souza Silva, according to The Sun.

The Premier League side, who impressively defeated Manchester City 4-2 on Saturday at the King Power Stadium in the English top-flight, have been linked with a move for the highly-rated defensive midfielder from Gremio ahead of the upcoming January transfer window.

The 21-year-old, who has one international cap for his country after making his Brazil debut against Haiti back in June, scored two goals and provided one assist in 18 appearances in all competitions for the Série A outfit during the 2015/16 season.

Walace, who won Olympic Gold with his country at the 2016 Rio Olympics back in August, is wanted by Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri in the New Year to improve their title defence campaign having won just four times from their opening 15 league fixtures.

The report suggests that Leicester are ready to stump up £10m for the Brazilian starlet.
