Leicester City have reportedly made a fresh £22m move for Nigeria international forward Ahmed Musa, according to Match TV (via The Hinckley Times).

The 2015/16 Premier League champions, who finished ten points clear of second-placed Arsenal in the English top-flight standings last term, have reignited their interested in the CSKA Moscow striker as the Foxes prepare for their Champions League campaign beyond this summer.

The 23-year-old, who has 58 international caps to his name, scored 18 goals and provided six assists in 44 appearances in all competitions for the Russian Premier Liga outfit last season.

Musa, who was targeted by Claudio Ranieri’s side during the previous January transfer window, has reportedly already told CSKA that he wishes to agree a summer switch to the King Power Stadium.

The Russian club rejected a Leicester offer of around £17m during the New Year period, but are now likely to negotiate a deal with the Foxes given their revised bid.
