Leicester City are reportedly on the verge of completing the signing of Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi, according to The Telegraph.

The Premier League side, who impressively defeated Manchester City 4-2 on Saturday at the King Power Stadium in the English top-flight, have been linked with a move for the Genk defensive midfielder ahead of the January transfer window.

The 19-year-old, who has six international caps for his country, has already scored three goals in 31 appearances in all competitions for the Belgium outfit so far this season.

Ndidi; who had his medical with Leicester on Monday, will cost the defending Premier League champions around £14m and will officially join his new club in the New Year, subject to a work permit.

The Nigerian ace has agreed a five-year contract with the Foxes.

Claudio Ranieri’s side, who currently sit 14th in the table having won just four times during their opening 15 fixtures, visit AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
