Leicester City are reportedly ready to reignite their interest in Nigeria international forward Ahmed Musa, according to the Daily Mail.

The Premier League leaders, who are on the verge of sealing their first-ever top-flight title in English football following a remarkable 2015/16 campaign at the King Power Stadium, are still interested in recruiting the CSKA Moscow striker after qualifying for the UEFA Champions League next term.

The 23-year-old, who has 58 international caps for his country, has scored 16 goals and provided six assists in 39 appearances in all competitions for the Russian Premier Liga outfit so far this season.

Musa, who was a January target for Claudio Ranieri’s side earlier in the season, was denied a move to the Premier League leaders as the Foxes refused to meet CSKA’s £20m asking price.

However the report now suggests that Leicester could thrash out a £18m summer deal for the Nigerian star, who are keen to strengthen their attacking ranks ahead of next term’s campaign in the European-elite club competition.
