Leicester City star James Maddison urged to snub Manchester United for Liverpool or Manchester City, by former Foxes boss Micky Adams when speaking to the Daily Star.

The creative playmaker has been one of the talking points of the new campaign so far, improving on his already sparkling form from last season.

Maddison scored a fantastic winning goal against Tottenham Hotspur last week and is almost a certainty to face Newcastle United in the Premier League this afternoon.

Rumours suggest Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a fan of Maddison.

However, his great form has not gone unnoticed with many clubs rumoured to be interested in the 22-year-old, Manchester United being the most vocal.

But former Foxes boss Micky Adams has urgeFod the Leicester man to snub Manchester United and keep his feet on the ground.

He said: “Maddison would have to go to Manchester City or a Liverpool to improve on what he’s got at Leicester.

“As a young man he’s just got to keep developing his game and working hard.

“He must not listen to the hype or get ahead of himself. That’s the time it bites you on the backside as a footballer.”
