Leicester City are reportedly looking to make young West Ham United defender Reece Burke their first summer signing, according to the Sun.

The 19-year-old Hammers defender is currently out on loan at League One side Bradford City, but it is thought that he could be tempted by the chance to play Champions League football next term, which the Foxes are almost guaranteed of after an incredible season.

Claudio Ranieri’s side have a five-point lead at the top of the league with eight matches left to play, and the Italian is already eyeing players to boost his squad for what could be a congested fixture list next year.

Burke’s natural position is at centre-back, but he is also able to offer versatility by slotting in at right-back, something which Ranieri is a big fan of.

He has made 10 appearances for West Ham in all competitions, before appearing on 26 occasions, scoring twice, for the Bantams this term.
