Leicester closing in on deal for forward with 70 Premier League matches under his belt

Leicester City are aiming to complete a deal for RB Leipzig forward Ademola Lookman on Transfer Deadline Day.

The 23-year-old impressed in a loan spell with Fulham last term, despite being relegated from the Premier League.

Now, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the London-born attacker is close to completing a move back to England’s top-light, where he has five goals in 70 matches.

It’s claimed that Leicester have struck an agreement with RB Leipzig over a loan deal and that a medical and paperwork just needs to be completed.

Lookman started his career with Charlton Athletic before making the move to Everton in 2017, where he played 48 times for the Toffees before moving to Germany on a permanent deal.

The former England Under-21 international couldn’t save Fulham from relegation but showed he has the talent to compete in the Premier League.

With Brendan Rodgers’ management and the chance of having better players around him, this could prove to be a clever swoop by the Foxes.
