Leicester City have reportedly launched an £8m bid for Italy international centre forward Eder, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
The surprise Premier League leaders, who convincingly defeated Stoke City 3-0 on Saturday, want to sign the Sampdoria striker in a bid to sustain their title challenge this term.
The 29-year-old, who has eight international caps for his country, has scored an impressive 13 goals in 21 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit this season.
Eder; who was originally born in Brazil, could be tempted in a move to the Foxes this month as Sampdoria currently sit 17th in the Italian top-flight, whilst Claudio Ranieri’s side fight at the summit in English football.
However Leicester could miss out on their man as it is also understood that Chinese club Jiangsu have offered £10.6m for Eder’s services during the January transfer window.
