Leicester City are reportedly ready to make a £5 million bid for Southampton striker Graziano Pelle, according to the Sun.

The Foxes are looking to bring in an attacker to provide support to Jamie Vardy before the transfer window closes on Tuesday, but have so far been unable to complete deals for CSKA Moscow’s Ahmed Musa, and Sampdoria’s Italy international, Eder.

Now it is believed that Claudio Ranieri could turn his attentions to another Italian closer to home, with Pelle being linked with a move away from St Mary’s this month.

Saints signed Charlie Austin less than a fortnight ago, and may have suggested that it could end Pelle’s Southampton career, whether it be in this window or in the summer.
