In any normal season, Riyad Mahrez’s fantastic form would be the highlight for Leicester.

But as you know, this isn’t any normal season for the Foxes who sit third in the Premier League, a point behind Arsenal and Manchester City, and have a striker in the form of his life.

Vardy has scored in nine consecutive Premier League games

Just over three years ago, Jamie Vardy was turning out for non-league Fleetwood Town but, on Saturday, struck for the ninth Premier League game in a row.

The winning penalty against Watford means he can now equal Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record of scoring in 10 consecutive Premier League matches when City travel to Newcastle after the international break.
