Jeremain Lens could be priced out of a move to Feyenoord.

According to a report in the Sunderland Echo the 29-year-old is wanted by the newly crowned Dutch champions but both the players personal terms and Sunderland’s transfer terms could be beyond Feyenoord.

Lens has been on loan at Fenerbahce this season and it’s believed that there is interest in the winger from Galatasaray.

With the former PSV Eindhoven man under contract for another two seasons there seems no easy solution with life in the Championship unappealing to the player with his wages making a move back to Holland unlikely.

Over the next couple of weeks Sunderland will have a number of similar situations to deal with as the reality of a ten year stint in the top flight hits home.

It seems that Feyenoord were quoted a fee of £6m which is a drop on the price that Sunderland paid for Lens two years ago.
