Jeremain Lens is a transfer target for Trabzonspor.

According to a report in the Daily Mail the 29-year-old’s form on loan at Fenerbahce has attracted the attention of their Turkish rivals.

Lens went on loan to Fenerbahce at the start of the season from Sunderland who are in no rush to bring the Dutchman back to the Stadium of Light.

The player is of a similar opinion and open to extending his stay in Turkey.

Sunderland paid Dynamo Kiev £8m in 2015 for the midfielder but are likely to accept half of that figure in an effort to trim their wage bill.

With no manager in place at Sunderland Trabzonspor may be able to negotiate a quick deal with the next boss at the Stadium of Light having a number of contract issues to deal with.

Davie Moyes’ sudden departure leaves chief executive Martin Bain in charge of transfer and contract matters with the club keen to make a quick appointment to prepare a squad for life in the Championship.
