Liverpool will almost certainly finalise defender Mahmadou Sakho’s move away from the club in January, according to a report from France Football.

The French outlet have listed a number of players they anticipate could make a move in the coming window, and rank the Reds defender, alongside Man City’s Yaya Toure, as the most likely to move, at 99.9%.

The France international is yet to feature for Jurgen Klopp’s side this season, having had disciplinary issues and injury problems over the summer an in pre-season.

The 26-year-old, who was also accused of doping at the end of last season, was sent home from a pre-season tour in America having arrived late to club meetings or events on three separate occasions.

The former Paris Saint Germain man has been exiled to the U23 side this season and is reportedly ready to leave the club having accepted he no long has a role to play at Anfield.
