Liverpool have reportedly made an offer to sign France international midfielder Adrien Rabiot, according to Don Balon.

The Premier League side, who defeated West Ham United 4-0 at Anfield last Sunday in their 2018-19 league opener, have been linked with a swoop for the Paris Saint-Germain star, despite the English transfer window shutting on August 9.

The 23-year-old, who has six international caps for his country, scored PSG’s second goal in the defending Ligue 1 champions’ opening 3-0 victory over Caen last weekend.

Rabiot, who was not selected in France’s FIFA World Cup winning squad during this summer’s finals in Russia, has netted 23 goals in 209 games overall for the club, having come through their youth ranks.

However, the report claims Liverpool have already submitted an offer to snap up the central midfielder next summer, in a bid to beat Spanish giants FC Barcelona and Real Madrid to his signature.

Rabiot, who is valued at £45m, will be out of contract at the Parc des Princes in June 2019, and would therefore become a free agent.
