Liverpool will be hoping to keep alive their chances of qualifying for the Champions League when they face Leicester City on Monday.

The Reds currently sit in fifth place in the Premier League table, four points behind Manchester United who occupy the final Champions League qualification spot.

Jurgen Klopp’s team will face a Leicester side that are in desperate need of a win, though, as they look to avoid relegation from the top flight.

The Foxes currently sit 19th in the table and look increasingly likely to drop down to the Championship next term.

Regardless of where the Reds finish this term, it appears that the club are already looking ahead to the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to Fichajes via CaughtOffside, Liverpool are one of a number of Premier League clubs interested in Roma striker Tammy Abraham.

Abraham has reportedly attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs

The Englishman joined the Italian side from Chelsea in the summer of 2021 and has since scored 36 goals in 101 appearances across all competitions for his current side.

During his first season in Italy, Abraham netted 27 times across all competitions, helping Roma to win the inaugural Europa Conference League.

Newcastle United and Aston Villa are also said to be interested in the forward, who has been capped 11 times by England at senior level.

During his time at Chelsea, Abraham scored 30 goals in 82 appearances, but he was sold to Roma when the Blues signed Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan.

Liverpool are set to be in the market for a new striker this summer, with Brazilian Roberto Firmino set to depart the club.

The 31-year-old’s contract is set to expire at the end of the current season and it was announced earlier this year that he will depart Anfield.

Abraham is contracted to Roma until 2026, and it remains to be seen whether or not the Italian side would be willing to sell him prior to that date.
