Liverpool will turn their attention to the Premier League title race after their FA Cup exit on Sunday. 

Jurgen Klopp’s side were beaten 4-3 aet by rivals Manchester United in a thrilling quarter-final on Sunday, ending the reds’ hopes of winning a quadruple this term.

Despite their exit, Liverpool remain firmly in the hunt for both the league title and the Europa League.

Off the pitch, it appears that the Merseyside club are interested in a Bundesliga star.

As per Sky Sports Germany’s Patrick Berger, both Liverpool and Arsenal are interested in Borussia Dortmund forward Donyell Malen.

Berger claims that the 25-year-old is looking to leave Dortmund this summer, and both Premier League sides have shown an interest in the player.

Malen has attracted interest from two clubs in the Premier League

Malen joined Dortmund from Dutch side PSV Eindhoven in 2021, having netted an impressive 55 goals in 116 games for the Eredivisie side across all competitions.

Previously, the striker had spent time at Arsenal’s youth academy, representing the Gunners at both under-18 and under-23 lelevl before departing for the Netherlands in 2017.

Since his move to Germany, the Netherlands international has scored 32 times in 106 games, as well as providing 19 assists.

It is claimed that the striker is expected to leave his current club during the upcoming summer transfer window, with Dortmund open to the idea of Malen leaving.

This term the Dutchman, who is contracted to his current side until 2026, has scored 13 goals in 33 games.

Berger suggests that the forward is valued at around £35-40 million.
