Liverpool and Man City look set to challenge for the Premier League title again this term.

The champions of the past two seasons sit in forth and second respectively after the opening 11 matches.

But reports claim that on-pitch honours may not be the only thing the two heavyweights compete for in 2022.

According to the Mirror, the Reds and the Citizens are interested in striker Hwang Hee-chan.

The South Korea star has scored four goals in eight Premier League games for Wolves this season.

However, with the 25-year-old only on a season-long loan at Molineux from RB Leipzig, it’s claimed his prolific form has attracted interest from the title-chasing duo.

Hwang continued his good form with South Korea this week.

Wolves have the option to make the deal a permanent one and it’s thought that this development, has them seeking to do just that in January.

Liverpool have reportedly watched Hwang on several occasions, while City would also like to add some more striking options to their ranks.

Prior to arriving in England, the forward has struggled for goals, scoring just five in his previous 50 club appearances for German clubs Hamburg and Leipzig.

Hwang had failed to net in 20 Bundesliga appearances, making his electric form for Bruno Lage’s exciting team one of the stories of the season so far.
