Premier League leaders Liverpool are back in action on Saturday when they travel to face Brentford.

Jurgen Klopp’s side currently hold a two-point lead over reigning champions Manchester City in second, although the Citizens do have a game in hand over their rivals.

City and the Reds have dominated the Premier League over the past five years, although Arsenal did top the table for much of last term before ultimately finishing second.

Now, it appears that City or Liverpool would have to fork out a huge amount to have any chance of signing one of the Gunners’ most important players.

As per Football Insider, Arsenal would have to receive a Premier League record offer to consider selling forward Bukayo Saka.

The report claims that both Liverpool and Man City have shown interest in the Englishman, who has established himself as a key player for the North London club.

But Arsenal value the 22-year-old at a colossal £150-200 million, a fee which if met would far exceed the current Premier League record signing.

Saka is valued by Arsenal at more than £150 million

Since making his senior debut for his boyhood club in 2017, Saka has gone on to make a total of 210 appearances for the club across all competitions.

He has scored 51 times in total, as well as providing 53 assists, making him a crucial player for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Saka is contracted to Arsenal until 2027 after signing an extension last year, and the England international appears almost certain to be staying put at The Emirates beyond this summer.

The report claims that the Gunners believe that Man City star Erling Haaland is the only player in the Premier League that is more valuable than Saka.

So far this season, the winger has scored 13 times and provided the same number of assists in 31 matches across all competitions.
