Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is quickly establishing himself as one of the Premier League’s greatest ever managers.

The charismatic German had already delivered a Champions League triumph for the Reds when he guided them to their first ever Premier League title the following season in 2019.

After a disappointing injury-plagued season last term, Klopp’s side now look back to their best and few would bet against the Reds being involved in a title challenge come the end of the season.

There is worrying developments for Liverpool fans now, however, as Klopp is being linked with a move away from the club.

According to the Daily Express, Catalan giants Barcelona have included the German on a three man shortlist to replace Ronald Koeman.

Klopp is reportedly being lined up by Barcelona as a replacement for Ronald Koeman.

The Dutchman is under increasing pressure after a disappointing start to the new season, and his future is believed to be in serious doubt.

The report states that an emergency board meeting was called within the Spanish side earlier this week following the drab 1-1 draw with Grenada on Sunday evening.

That result, which relied on a last minute equaliser, followed the club’s humiliating 3-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League last week.

Club legend Xavi and Ajax boss Erik Ten Hag are believed to be alongside Klopp on the shortlist.

Barcelona would apparently have to pay £10 million in compensation if they do sack Koeman, which could prove difficult given the club’s dismal financial situation.

Given the departure of Lionel Messi over the summer and the otherwise dismal state of the Catalan club, however, it would be a surprise if Klopp did choose to depart for Spain.
