Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is considering a move for Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the January window, according to reports from The Guardian.

The former Borussia Dortmund manager is looking to add to his attacking ranks in January with summer signing Sadio Mane set for African Cup of Nations duty with Senegal and Philippe Coutinho sidelined through injury.

The 23-year-old, meanwhile, admitted on Sky Sports’ Goals on Sunday earlier this season that a move may have to be something he considers in the near future in order to benefit his career.

However, as per the Guardian’s report, a deal between Liverpool and Arsenal is something that the powers that be at Anfield know will no be easy, considering the history between the two sides.

There was a falling out between the two clubs when Arsene Wenger attempted to sign the now Barcelona striker Luis Suarez before he made his move to La Liga.

Furthermore the north London club would appear foolish to sell a player of such talent to an title rival.
