Liverpool travel to the French capital to face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League last 16 on Wednesday.

Arne Slot is enjoying a sensational debut season on Merseyside, with the Reds currently boasting a 13-point lead over second-placed Arsenal in the Premier League table.

His side are also in the final of the Carabao Cup – where they face Newcastle United – and are among the favourites to win the Champions League.

Despite this, it appears that the Merseyside outfit are still looking ahead to the upcoming summer transfer window.

As per TBR Football, Liverpool are one of a number of Premier League clubs interested in Monaco star Lamine Camara.

The report suggests that Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City have also all been monitoring the defensive midfielder.

Maresca could look to bolster his squad this summer

Camara, 21, is emerging on the radar of the majority of top European clubs, the report says, following his recent good form.

The midfielder joined Monaco from fellow French side Metz last summer and has now played 31 times for his new side this season.

Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Brighton and Hove Albion and Newcastle United are all said to have watched the player in recent weeks, as Premier League sides gear up for the upcoming summer transfer window.

Clubs in the Saudi Pro League are also said to be interested in the youngster, while Real Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich are also credited with an interest.

Monaco are said to be reluctant to allow the Senegalese midfielder to depart the club this summer, however they could be persuaded to reconsider this stance if a sizeable offer is received.

The repair also suggests that Camara has been likened to former Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante, and is regarded by many as the best prospect that Senegal have produced since Sadio Mane.
