Liverpool are reportedly fearful that they could be priced out of a move for £20 million rated Barcelona goalkeeper, Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Jurgen Klopp is keen to bring in a new number one to Anfield either in January or in the summer with continued uncertainty over the reliability of Simon Mignolet, and one of his top targets is Barca’s Germany international.

The 23-year-old is understood to be frustrated at his lack of first-team football at the Camp Nou, but the £20 million that his club is asking for his said to be £8 million more than the Merseyside outfit think he is worth.

Ter Stegen, who helped the Catalan giants win the Champions League last season, has made just four appearances in La Liga this term.
