Liverpool are monitoring midfielder Piotr Zielinski’s situation at Napoli, according to the Mirror.

Having impressed at Stadio San Paolo, the club want to double their 24-year-old’s release clause from £57m to £114m.

However, the intentions of Partenopei owner Aurelio di Laurentiis don’t sit well with the Poland international or his agent.

This will have alerted the Reds, who were in the hunt to sign Zielinski from Udinese in 2016 before he opted to stay in Italy.

Serie A champions Juventus are also thought to be keeping tabs on the player who has 36 international caps and has played 96 times for Napoli.
