Liverpool will lift the Premier League trophy for just the second time in the club’s history if they avoid defeat against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The Reds have enjoyed a superb domestic campaign under Arne Slot and currently sit 12 points clear at the top of the standings with just five matches remaining.

That means the Merseyside outfit need just a single point from their remaining games to clinch the title, and Slot will be confident that his side can avoid defeat against struggling Spurs on Sunday.

Off the pitch there could be more good news for Liverpool, with one of their transfer targets reportedly set to be available for less than his release clause.

According to Football Insider, West Ham United forward Mohammed Kudus – who is a target for the Reds – could be available for around £70 million this summer.

Kudus is a target for Liverpool

The Ghana international is said to have an £80 million release clause for domestic clubs in his current contract, but the Hammers could be willing to listen to lower offers this summer.

Kudus, 24, joined West Ham from Ajax in 2023 and has since payed 75 times for the East London side, scoring 17 goals and registering 12 assists.

The repot suggests that Liverpool are hoping to upgrade Slot’s attacking options during this summer window, and Kudus is seen as the ideal type of player to do so.

Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota have all been linked with moves away from Anfield in recent months, while Mohamed Salah only recently signed a new two-year contract with the club.

Kudus is currently under contract with the Hammers until the end of the 2027/28 campaign and remains a key player for Graham Potter’s side, however the report suggests that the London side will consider selling the Ghanaian if a suitable offer is tabled.
