For the best part of four seasons, Liverpool possessed the most feared attacking frontline in world football.

The terrifying tripartite of Mohammed Salah, Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mane tore through Premier League and Champions League defences, as Liverpool finished as runners-up in the 2017-18 Champions League, before going on to win the big eared trophy and the Premier League the two following seasons.

However, last season the front three fell flat with both Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane struggling for form and goals as Liverpool’s title defence was finished barely halfway into their title defence.

Legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson prided himself on refreshing his winning teams with new faces the following seasons; keeping players on their toes and ensuring all momentum is carried out.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has already jump-started his side with the acquisition of Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig; however, according to The Daily Mirror, they have been dealt a big transfer blow as Bayern Munich are confident in retaining French wing wizard Kingsley Coman.

The Bayern Munich midfielder would’ve been another lethal winger to Klopp’s collection

Coman scored the winning goal for Bayern Munich in the 2019-20 Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain; however, there were rumours indicating Klopp’s interest had turned the head of the 25-year-old.

Unfortunately for the Reds, Bayern CEO and former goalkeeper Oliver Kahn recently said he is confident the Frenchman will stay at the Allianz Arena.

Coman would have been the ideal addition to Klopp’s Red Arrows like frontline, as he has the pace, intelligence, and finishing ability to slot into the side perfectly.

He also has experience in both Serie A, Ligue One and the Bundesliga, which would’ve made him more likely than most to hit the ground running in the Premier League.
