Mamadou Sakho is reportedly ‘99.9 per cent’ certain to leave Liverpool during the forthcoming January transfer window, according to France Football.

The Premier League side, who currently sit joint-top of the English top-flight standings alongside Manchester City and Arsenal after their 4-2 victory at Crystal Palace last weekend, are expected to offload the France international in the new year.

The 26-year-old, who has 28 international caps for his country, but was not included in France’s Euro 2016 squad in the summer, has failed to feature for The Reds in all competitions so far this season.

Sakho, who arrived at Anfield from defending Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain back in September 2013 for a reported £18m fee, is out of favour under manager Jurgen Klopp following an incident during pre-season, where he was sent home from the club’s tour of the USA.

He has scored three goals in 80 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool since joining the Premier League side.
