Liverpool striker Divock Origi is reportedly a target for Atletico Madrid should the Spanish club fail to sign Chelsea’s Diego Costa this summer, according to the Bleacher Report.

Diego Simeone is determined to re-sign the Spain international for Atletico as he looks to boost his side’s goalscoring prowess, but with new Blues manager Antonio Conte keen to keep hold of the 27-year-old at the current moment, the La Liga outfit could turn their attentions to the Reds’ Belgium international.

The 21-year-old struggled to make an impression at Anfield in his first full season with the Reds, making 33 appearances in all competitions and scoring 10 goals, and with Jurgen Klopp seemingly unable to guarantee the forward first team football, he could look to move on to pastures new.

Origi joined Liverpool from Lille for £10 million in 2014, before rejoining the Ligue 1 team on a season-long loan spell for the 2014/15 campaign, where he netted nine times.
