Liverpool look to be back in business with two ruthless victories against Norwich City and Burnley.

Jurgen Klopp’s side’s Premier League title defence last season collapsed under the weight of injury problems and poor form.

However, their key men are back fit, their best players are firing on all cylinders, and, perhaps most importantly, their passionate and loud fan base are back in the stands.

While it has been a great start to the season, the lack of extra transfer additions is enough to raise eyebrows.

Central defender Ibrahima Konate is the only piece of business Liverpool have completed this season.

Now according to the Daily Express, they have jump-started their interest in Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma.

Bissouma has been one of the key drivers for Brighton.

The Malian midfielder has enjoyed an impressive start to the season, starring for the Seagulls who have also recorded a 100% winning start to the Premier League season.

He demonstrated all of his qualities in Graham Potter’s side’s victory against Watford, assisting the vital second goal with a timely interception, before playing a perfectly weighted pass for Neil Maupay to score from.

An additional midfielder appears to be on Liverpool’s transfer wish list, and the 24-year-old midfielder is the classic mould for a Red’s midfielder.

However, Brighton’s Athletic correspondent Andy Naylor has since quashed those reports, tweeting that Liverpool have not made an enquiry.

Brighton signed the midfielder from current Ligue 1 champions Lille, in the summer of 2018 for £15m.

Now it’s thought that the Seagulls would be looking to receive almost three times what they paid for Bissouma, if they were to part with his services.
