This summer has already been one of significant change for Liverpool, with several incomings and outgoings having already been completed.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner, Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino all departed the club at the end of June, while both Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai have been signed from Brighton and Hove Albion and RB Leipzig respectively.

Now, though, it looks like another of the Reds’ most important players could soon be on his way out of Anfield.

As per Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are in discussions with Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad over a move for midfielder Fabinho.

The Italian journalist claims that the Brazilian midfielder has already agreed personal terms with the Pro League side, having spoken to manager Nuno Esperito Santo.

The two clubs are now said to be in negotiations over a potential deal, with key details such as payment terms and instalments still to be finalised.

Fabinho looks likely to join Al-Ittihad this summer

Al-Ittihad are said to have already submitted their official proposal to the Reds, and talks are ongoing with a view to reaching an agreement.

Fabinho, 29, joined Liverpool from French side Monaco back in 2018 and has played a pivotal role for Jurgen Klopp’s side ever since.

In total, the Brazil international has made 219 appearances across all competitions, including more than 150 in the Premier League.

The midfielder has won seven trophies during his time on Merseyside so far, including the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup.

Last term he made 49 appearances across all competitions, including 36 in the Premier League, but he was unable to prevent Liverpool from slumping to a fifth-placed finish.

Fabinho’s current contract at Anfield is set to run until 2026, but the former Monaco man looks increasingly likely to end his spell in England this summer and instead move to Saudi Arabia.
