Liverpool are keeping an eye on Benfica starlet Rafael Brito, according to reports.

The 18-year-old has impressed for the Portuguese club’s B team but hasn’t yet made his senior debut.

And Record (via The Mirror) report that the Premier League leaders are monitoring the midfielder with a view to a possible swoop.

Spanish giants FC Barcelona and Real Madrid are also thought to hold an interest in the Portugal Under-19 international.

It’s claimed that Brito’s contract includes a £38million minimum release clause, which becomes active once he makes his league bow.

The Reds recruited fellow teenagers Sepp van den Berg and Harvey Elliott in the summer so it’s clear to see they have an eye on the future.

But it is not yet known whether the Merseyside outfit will follow up their interest with a concrete bid for the playmaker.
