Liverpool are reportedly considering a shock summer swoop for former Newcastle United star Hatem Ben Arfa, according to Le 10 Sport (via Goal).
The Premier League giants, who face Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon, have been linked with the Nice midfielder following his impressive displays for the French club so far this term.
The 28-year-old, who has 14 international caps for the 2016 UEFA European Championship hosts, has scored an impressive 12 goals and provided two assists in 27 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit this season.
Ben Arfa, who left St James’ Park back in January 2014 after the Magpies decided to release him from his contract, is also said to be attracting the elite likes of AC Milan, Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain, as well as the Reds beyond the end of the current 2015-16 campaign.
The Frenchman scored 14 goals in 86 games for Newcastle between 2010 and 2015 after his switch from Marseille.
