New Liverpool manager Arne Slot will be working hard ahead of his first transfer window in charge of the club.

The Dutchman was officially unveiled as Jurgen Klopp’s successor earlier this week, following the German’s departure after nine years in charge at Anfield.

Slot takes charge of the Reds after leaving Dutch side Feyenoord, just weeks after guiding his side to Dutch Cup glory.

Those in charge of Liverpool will be busy identifying potential transfer targets, and it appears that the Reds could be considering a move for a Championship star.

As per 90min, Liverpool are interested in Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville ahead of this summer’s transfer window.

The report claims that, while Liverpool have shown interest in Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon, the club are not likely to move for him this summer.

Summerville has enjoyed a fine season with Leeds United

They could instead make an effort to sign Leeds’ Summerville, though, particularly if the Whites lose to Southampton in Sunday’s Championship Play-off final at Wembley.

Summerville, 22, joined Leeds from Dutch side Feyenoord in 2020 and has since made a total of 88 appearances across all competitions for the club, scoring 25 goals and providing 12 assists.

This season the Netherlands Under-21 international has scored 19 goals in 43 Championship games, helping Daniel Farke’s side reach the play-off final.

Summerville is contracted to the Championship side until the end of the 2025/26 season, but his versatility is likely to appeal to the Reds as he is able to operate on either flank.

As well as deciding against a move for Gordon this summer, the report also claims that Liverpool are unlikely to move for Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah during the upcoming window.

The report claims that Liverpool will have a significant budget to spend this summer.
