Liverpool will continue their pursuit of an unprecedented quadruple when they face Championship side Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds defeated Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 on Thursday evening in the Carabao Cup semi-finals, setting up a meeting with Newcastle United in the final at Wembley.

Arne Slot’s side also sit six points clear at the top of the Premier League table, and have qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League, meaning they could become the first side in English football history to win all four competitions in the same campaign.

In the meantime, though, it has emerged that the Merseyside outfit are interested in an Eredivisie defender.

According to CaughtOffside, Liverpool are one of a number of clubs monitoring Feyenoord defender David Hancko.

The report claims that both Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur considered a move for the centre-back during the recent transfer window, while Liverpool could move for him if Virgil van Dijk departs Anfield this summer.

Hancko worked under Arne Slot during the Dutchman’s time at Feyenoord

The Dutchman’s contract with the Reds is set to expire at the end of the current season, and the report claims that Liverpool could move for Hancko, who worked under Slot during his time in Rotterdam.

European giants Bayern Munich and Juventus are also said to be interested in the central defender, who joined Feyenoord from Czech side Sparta Prague in 2022.

Since then he has played 123 times for the Dutch side across all competitions, playing an integral role for the side that were, until last summer, managed by Slot.

The Slovakia international is under contract with Feyenoord until the end of the 2027/28 season, an it remains to be seen whether or not the Eredivisie side would be willing to allow him to leave and, if so, at what price.
