Liverpool are reportedly ready to make a January move for Serie A bad boy Martin Caceres.

The Premier League outfit, who lost 3-0 to newly promoted Watford at Vicarage Road on Sunday, have been keeping tabs on the Juventus centre-half for the majority of the campaign.

The 28-year-old, who has 69 international caps for Uruguay, has made just three first-team appearances for the Italian defending champions so far this season.

Caceres, who has also been linked with a New Year move to Turkish club Fenerbahce, is out of contract next summer.

The defender is understood to be out-of-favour under Juve boss Max Allergi after crashing his car for a second time this season back in November.
