Liverpool launch late move for FC Barcelona’s £6m-rated winger

Liverpool have reportedly launched a late bid to sign Spain international forward Cristian Tello, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The Premier League side, who suffered a 1-0 home defeat to the hands of Manchester United on Sunday, are understood to have halted the FC Barcelona’s winger pending January transfer to Fiorentina with a last-gasp offer.

The 24-year-old, who made his international debut back in August 2013 against Ecuador, has scored twice in 20 appearances in all competitions whilst out on loan with FC Porto this season.

Tello, who was destined to join Serie A outfit Fiorentina on an initial loan deal with the option to buy for £6m, is wanted by Reds boss Jurgen Klopp at Anfield this month to help his side push for a top-four finish this campaign.
