Liverpool are reportedly considering a January swoop for Real Madrid ace Denis Cheryshev.

The Premier League side, who currently sit ninth in the table following Saturday’s 3-2 victory over Aston Villa, are looking to fill the void left by Raheem Sterling’s £49m summer move to Manchester City.

The 24-year-old, who joined the La Liga giants back in 2002, has played just 11 minutes of league action under manager Rafael Bentiez so far this season at the Bernabeu.

Cheryshev, who has seven international caps for Russia, has enjoyed loan spells at fellow Spanish top-flight sides Sevilla and Villarreal during the past two campaigns, scoring seven goals in 45 appearances in all competitions.
