Liverpool have reportedly begun talks over a potential deal to sign Brazil international forward Luan, according to the Daily Mail.

The Premier League side, who thrashed West Ham United 4-0 at the London Stadium at the weekend to jump back into third spot in the top-flight standings, have been heavily linked with a mega money move for the Gremio striker.

The 24-year-old, who made his full senior international debut for his country against Colombia back in January, has scored three goals in three Libertadores appearances this season.

Luan, who can also operate as a left winger, is also said to be attracting former Premier League champions Leicester City and Serie A outfit Lazio.

But the report suggests The Reds have already made contact with Brazilian club Gremio over his availability, although no official bid has been submitted yet.

Luan could cost Jurgen Klopp’s side around £26m, who face already relegated Middlesbrough at Anfield on Sunday in their final 2016-17 Premier League fixture.

He has netted 24 goals in 98 games for Gremio overall.
