Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will be hoping that his side can continue their impressive start to the new season when they face Wolves on Saturday.

The Reds have so far picked up ten points from a possible 12 and sit third in the Premier League table.

New signing Ryan Gravenberch could make his debut for Jurgen Klopp’s side, having completed a move from Bayern Munich to Anfield on transfer deadline day.

The Dutchman became the fourth high profile midfielder to join Liverpool this summer, following the arrivals of Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo.

Klopp completed a remarkable midfield overhaul in a short space of time, with Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all leaving the club since the end of last term.

One of their remaining midfielders from last season – Thiago Alcantara – had been linked with a move away from the club, but it appears that he will now be staying put.

As reported by Football Insider, Liverpool have no intention of terminating the Spaniard’s contract despite rumours that he could be on his way to Turkey.

Thiago had been linked with a move to Turkey but is expected to stay at Anfield

The 32-year-old has attracted interest from Super Lig side Trabzonspor and it had been suggested that the Reds could terminate his contract in order to allow him to depart, the report claims.

But the Premier League side have decided otherwise and the former Barcelona man is set to stay put, with the Turkish transfer window closing on Friday.

Thiago joined Liverpool from German giants Bayern Munich back in 2020 and has since played an integral role for Klopp’s side, making 97 appearances across all competitions.

The 46-time Spain international has struggled with injuries throughout his time on Merseyside, though, and hasn’t featured for Klopp’s side so far this term.
