Liverpool are reportedly monitoring Nigeria forward Henry Onyekuru, according to the Daily Mail.

The Premier League side, who have slipped down to fourth in the English top-flight standings following last Saturday’s surprising 3-2 defeat to the hands of Swansea City at Anfield, have been linked with KAS Eupen’s in-form youngster.

The 19-year-old, who came through Qatar’s Aspire Academy, has impressively netted 12 goals and provided six assists in 25 appearances in all competitions for the Jupiler Pro League outfit so far this season.

Onyekuru, who is predominantly a left winger, is understood to be recommended to The Reds ahead of the close of the January transfer window next Tuesday (23:00).

Manager Jurgen Klopp has decided not to bring in any fresh faces during the New Year market, so far, but is reportedly keeping close tabs on the goalscoring exploits of the Eupen starlet.

The German boss may re-consider his transfer policy after missing out on the 2017 EFL Cup final after suffering defeat to Southampton on Wednesday night.
