Premier League champions Liverpool face second-placed Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners had threatened to rival the Reds for the title this season, but a dip in form over the past couple of months allowed Arne Slot’s side to secure the trophy with victory over Tottenham Hotspur last month.

Mikel Arteta’s side therefore look set to finish as runners-up for the third consecutive season, although they could still drop out of the Champions League qualification spots if certain results occur.

Liverpool are set to lose right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold when his contract expires at the end of the season, with the England international heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid.

The Merseyside outfit have also been linked with a free agent, but it appears that they have no real interest in a possible deal.

De Bruyne is set to leave Manchester City this summer

According to TBR Football, Liverpool are not planning an attempt to sign Kevin De Bruyne when he departs Manchester City this summer.

The Belgian is set to leave City when his contract expires at the end of the current campaign, ending a hugely successful decade-long spell at The Etihad.

De Bruyne joined City from German side Wolfsburg in 2015, having previously had an underwhelming spell in England with Chelsea.

In total the 33-year-old has scored 108 goals and registered 177 assists in 418 games for the Citizens, and he remains an integral part of Pep Guardiola’s squad having played 36 times so far this term.

He has also won no fewer than 18 trophies including six Premier League titles, the Champions League and two FA Cups.

The Belgian midfielder has, however, struggled with injuries over the past few seasons, missing more than 50 games for club and country since the start of the 2022/23 campaign.
