Jurgen Klopp has had a busy summer as he reshaped his Liverpool side to reflect his footballing philosophy, and he is not done yet.

According to reports from The Guardian, the German manager is considering allowing Reds defender Mahmadou Sakho to leave the club on loan.

The French international has had a turbulent summer, from a drugs ban in April to disciplinary issues and injuries during the pre-season, and finds himself on the fringes of the squad at Anfield.

With no European football on Merseyside this season the former Borussia Dortmund manager has been looking to trim his squad all summer, and sees a loan deal for his defender as an ideal way to complete his recovery with more first team involvement elsewhere.

The 26-year-old made the move to the North West from Paris Saint Germain for a fee of around £16m, in 2013, and has gone on to make 80 appearances since making the switch.

The fact that Klopp is only considering a loan move means that, once Sakho is back to full fitness and with an incident free season under his belt, there is the chance for him to come back into the fold.
