Liverpool manager Arne Slot will be looking to make good use of his first transfer window in charge of the club.

The Dutchman succeeded Jurgen Klopp following the German’s departure at the end of last season, and he will be hoping to challenge for trophies in his first term in charge at Anfield.

Slot will likely have several transfer targets in mind, but Liverpool are also set to let a number of fringe players leave over the coming weeks.

Now, it appears that one of their most experienced players is on his way out of Merseyside.

As per Spanish outlet ABC Sevilla via The Express, veteran goalkeeper Adrian is close to signing for Spanish side Real Betis.

Adrian is set to leave Liverpool at the end of the month

The 37-year-old has acted as third-choice ‘keeper for the Reds over the past few seasons, and didn’t make a single appearance for Klopp’s side last term.

Adrian’s current contract with Liverpool is set to expire at the end of the month and, although the club have offered him an extension, the player himself has opted to depart.

The Spaniard joined the Reds five years ago and has made 26 appearances for the club across all competitions, winning seven trophies including the Premier League and FA Cup.

The report claims that the ‘keeper is close to finalising a move to Seville, to join La Liga side Betis.

Liverpool’s second choice ‘keeper, Caoimhin Kelleher, has also been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield in recent weeks, having impressed when deputising for first choice Alisson.
