Liverpool’s Premier League title challenge almost certainly came to an end on Saturday as they were held to a 2-2 draw by West Ham United.

Two defeats in their previous three league games had left the Reds’ title hopes hanging by a thread, and things went from bad to worse when Jarrod Bowen put the Hammers in front at The London Stadium.

Andy Robertson levelled things up, before a Tomas Soucek own goal put Liverpool in front, but the visitors couldn’t hold on and forward Michail Antonio levelled things once again late on.

The result all-but-ends Jurgen Klopp’s hopes of winning the title, meaning that the German is almost certain to depart Anfield this summer without lifting any more trophies.

Now, though, it appears that one of his players is also keen to leave the club this summer.

Kelleher has featured more regularly this season due to Alisson’s injury problems

As per Football Insider, goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher is pushing to leave Liverpool during the upcoming transfer window.

Kelleher, 25, joined Liverpool’s youth setup as a teenager and has acted as back-up ever since being introduced into the first team squad.

In total he has played just 47 times across all competitions, but the Irishman has featured more regularly this term with first choice ‘keeper Alisson having struggled with injuries.

The Ireland international has played 26 times this term, including ten Premier League games, and has been hugely impressive when called upon.

Despite this, the report claims that the player is keen to leave the club in search of a guaranteed starting spot elsewhere.

Last summer Kelleher was offered the chance to join Wolves, but Klopp convinced him to stay put on Merseyside.

Kelleher’s current contract with the Reds is set to run until the end of the 2025/26 season, but Liverpool could opt to cash in on him now while his value is likely quite high.
