Liverpool have been linked with a summer move for Germany international defender Jonas Hector, according to German outlet Bild.

The Premier League side, who currently sit seventh in the standings respectively after three league wins on the bounce against Aston Villa, Manchester City and Crystal Palace, are interested in recruiting the FC Koln left-back once the current 2015-16 campaign has concluded.

The 25-year-old, who has 10 international caps for his country, has provided three assists in 27 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit so far this season.

Hector; who began his career at SV Auersmacher, has starred for the Billy Goats, who currently sit ninth place in the German top-flight.

The defender is tipped to be named in Germany’s UEFA Euro 2016 squad later this year in France after featuring in seven qualifying games under national team coach Joachim Low.

Hector has scored four goals in 125 games for FC Koln since arriving back in 2010.
