Liverpool are reportedly considering a summer swoop for Serbia international Filip Kostic, according to Bild (via the Daily Star).

The Premier League side, who currently sit ninth in the standings following last weekend’s 3-2 defeat to the hands of Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium, have been impressed by the Stuttgart winger’s displays throughout this campaign.

The 23-year-old, who has six international caps for his country, has scored five goals and provided seven assists in 26 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit so far this season.

Kostic; who is under contract with the German side until 2019, is thought to be eager on competing in a European competition during the 2016-17 term, with Jurgen Klopp’s Reds pushing for at least a UEFA Europa League spot come May.

However the report suggests Liverpool could hit a tricky spot over any potential deal this summer as the Serbian star would struggle to meet the criteria to earn a work permit in order to move to Anfield.
