Germany World Cup winner Mario Gotze has hinted at joining Liverpool during the January transfer window.
The Premier League side, who face League Two outfit Exeter City in the FA Cup tonight, have reportedly been put on high alert regarding the Bayern Munich midfielder’s availability this summer.
The 23-year-old, who has 47 international caps for his country, has scored four goals in just 11 appearances in all competitions for the defending Bundesliga champions this season.
Gotze, who is thought to be rated at around £37m by Pep Guardiola’s side, moved to Bayern from German rivals Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth £27.5m in 2013.
When asked about working with Reds boss Jurgen Klopp again, Gotze replied: “I’m under contract here until 2017. We will see what happens.
“No one has contacted me yet.”
