Less than a month after the conclusion of the 2021/22 Premier League season, attention has already turned to the next campaign, with a number of clubs already strengthening their squads.

Champions Manchester City have already landed striker Erling Haaland, while runners-up Liverpool followed suit by completing the signing of 22-year-old Darwin Nunez from Benfica.

With two huge names having already agree deals to move to the Premier League, the upcoming season promises to be a thrilling one.

Despite having spent more than £67 million on Nunez, it appears that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp still has his sights set on other targets.

Bellingham made 44 appearances across all competitions for Dortmund this season

As per The Mirror, the German remains interested in England midfielder Jude Bellingham, although he has conceded that is is unlikely a deal can be done this summer.

The report claims that Klopp is still plotting a move for the teenager, but his current side Borussia Dortmund are extremely unlikely to let the player leave having already lost Haaland during the summer window.

That means that Klopp is likely to have to stick with his current crop of midfielders – namely Fabinho, Thiago Alcantara and Jordan Henderson – as his first choice trio for the upcoming campaign.

The Reds have already also signed Fabio Carvalho from Fulham, and are expected to confirm the capture of Aberdeen teenager Calvin Ramsey in the coming days.
