Mohamed Salah’s time with Liverpool will come to an end this summer, with the Egyptian set to leave Anfield at the end of the season.

The Reds announced on Tuesday that the forward will depart the club at the end of the current campaign, bringing an end to a hugely successful nine-year spell on Merseyside.

Since signing from Roma in 2017, Salah has scored a remarkable 255 goals and registered a further 122 assists in 435 games for the Reds across all competitions, winning nine trophies including the Premier League title last term.

The Egypt international enjoyed arguably his finest season last year, registering a combined 47 goals and assists in the league to help Arne Slot’s side to the title.

Now, though, CaughtOffside claims that the reigning champions are working hard to source a replacement for the 33-year-old.

It is claimed that those in charge of the Reds’ recruitment are trying to find a player to replace Salah in Slot’s squad, and a number of names are currently being considered.

Former Crystal Palace star Michael Olise – who now plays for German champions Bayern Munich – is named as one potential target, with the Frenchman having built a reputation as one of the best wingers in Europe since moving to Germany.

RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande is another possible successor the report claims, with the Ivory Coast international enjoying an explosive debut season in Germany having signed from Spanish side Leganes last summer.

It is claimed that, while Bayern have given no indication that they would be willing to sell Olise this summer, Liverpool are optimistic about their chances of luring the Frenchman back to the Premier League.

Salah, meanwhile, will most likely secure a move to the Saudi Pro League this summer, the report claims, with Al Nassr or Al Ittihad his most likely destinations.

The Egyptian could also join MLS side San Diego FC, the report claims.
